Pisa is located in Tuscany, not far from Florence and Lucca.
The symbol of Pisa’s artistic and cultural heritage is the Piazza dei Miracoli, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, with its majestic Cathedral flanked by the famous Leaning Tower. Fifty-six meters high, the tower acquired its characteristic inclination that has made it famous throughout the world just a few years after its construction.

Pisa is also home to the Scuola Normale Superiore, an important university that attracts students dedicated to research and scientific studies from around the world.
The most important event from a historical and cultural point of view is the Regatta of the Maritime Republics, held every 4 years in Pisa: on this occasion the city challenges the other ancient maritime republics of Venice, Genoa and Amalfi to a rowing contest.
